Dr Gitta MadaniConsultant Radiologist

    Gitta Madani is a Consultant Radiologist at Imperial College NHS Trust. She has a specialist interest in all aspects of head and neck imaging, including ENT (sinonasal and ear), salivary, maxillofacial (jaws and teeth), temporomandibular joint, thyroid, orbital, and skull base imaging (including imaging for hearing loss and vertigo). Dr Madani reports all modalities including CT, MRI and plain and contrast radiography. She performs sialograms (for salivary symptoms), dacrocystograms (for watery eyes), barium and video swallows (for swallowing problems), ultrasound and image-guided interventional procedures (including ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration and biopsy). She also performs minimally invasive treatment of salivary strictures (balloon dilatation) and stones (basket retrieval).

    Dr Madani undertook her medical training at Imperial College Medical School and subsequently trained in radiology at the Royal Free and University College Hospitals. She also trained as a dentist and has previous experience in head and neck surgery.

    Dr Madani is a fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists, a fellow of the faculty of dental surgery and a member of the faculty of surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons. Dr Madani has an active interest in teaching, training and research.
